Can anyone fill me in on more details as to why Jim resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences after they gave an Honorary Oscar for the effect in Dino's Kong?

Yeah, the effects would have been great but the rest of the film would still be crap.

I must will admit haven't seen alot of movies from that era other than the the Wizard of Oz, Gone With the Wind, and other big namers. I seriously doubt I would find it better than the 70s and 80s....

I saw that picture. I looked closely on the foot and it had a tag that read, "Property of Toho Studios". LOL! This political cartoon is representing what the 1976 remake is like.
